Between 25 and 26 May, the IEU hosted three webinars on ongoing evaluations of the Green Climate Fund’s (GCF) Project Preparation Facility, the GCF’s Gender Approach, and the GCF’s Portfolio of and Approach to the Private Sector.

Two of these webinars were facilitated by Head of the Independent Evaluation Unit Andreas Reumann and one by IEU’s Chief Evaluation Advisor Archi Rastogi. The webinars were each tailored to the GCF Board members and advisors; colleagues from the GCF Secretariat; and accredited entities, Civil Society Organisations (CSO), and Public Sector Organisations (PSO). 

Each webinar included three rapid fire presentations on PPF, Gender, and the Private Sector, with a Q&A session and open discussion following each presentation. 

The webinars provided an overview for the following:

Emerging Conclusions and Recommendations of the Independent Evaluation of the Green Climate Fund’s Project Preparation Facility

  • Presented by Marco d’Errico, Elang Mokgano, and Steve Perry
  • The final evaluation report is expected to be submitted ahead of the 45th meeting of the GCF Board.

Findings and Emerging Conclusions of the Independent Evaluation of the Green Climate Fund’s Gender Approach

  • Presented by Genta Konci and Alejandro Gonzalez-Caro
  • The final evaluation report is expected to be submitted ahead of the 45th meeting of the GCF Board.

Key Evaluation Questions of the Independent Evaluation of the GCF’s Portfolio of and Approach to the Private Sector

  • Presented by Aiko Ward
  • The final evaluation report is expected to be submitted ahead of the 46th meeting of the GCF Board.
