The 2025 Country Ownership evaluation explored how effectively the GCF promotes country-driven processes and supports national climate priorities, building on the Country Ownership Approach assessed in 2019. The results of this evaluation are scheduled for submission by B.44.

  • In Decision B.44/19, the GCF Board took note of the Independent Evaluation of the GCF’s Approach to Country Ownership. 
  • The Board requested the IEU to submit a management action report to the Board no later than one year following the adoption of the decision.
