- The evaluation was commissioned by the Board in IEU Work Plan and Budget for 2025 at B.40.
- Terms of Reference
- The evaluation team developed an approach brief to provide a two-page summary of the approach paper for the evaluation, including the evaluation’s context, purpose, scope, methods, and timeline.
- The approach paper prepared by the evaluation team during the inception stage outlines the evaluation’s context, objectives, scope, methodology, evaluation questions, and workplan.

- The GCF Secretariat provided the management response to the Independent Evaluation of the GCF’s Approach to Country Ownership.
- In Decision B.44/19, the GCF Board took note of the Independent Evaluation of the GCF’s Approach to Country Ownership.
- The Board requested the IEU to submit a management action report to the Board no later than one year following the adoption of the decision.
