IEU Learning Talk: GCF Impact on the Ground

This IEU Learning Talk featured the LORTA team presenting findings from two recent impact evaluations supported by the Green Climate Fund: FP026 in Madagascar and FP101 in Belize.

The session explored what the data says about building resilience in climate-vulnerable communities, focusing on topics such as forest conservation, climate-smart agriculture, food security, and value chain development. Michell Dong and Susumu Yoshida shared evaluation results from the field, offering insights into what is working—and where challenges remain—when it comes to supporting smallholder farmers and rural producers facing climate risks.

LORTA (Learning-Oriented Real-Time Impact Assessment) is the IEU’s flagship programme for embedding impact evaluations into GCF-funded projects from the start, generating evidence on what works, for whom, and under what conditions.
