IEU Learning Talk: Country Ownership and Readiness

Summary

On 24 January the GCF Independent Evaluation Unit, together with the Division of Country Programming, hosted the IEU Learning Talk: Country Ownership and Readiness. This IEU-DCP learning talk presented country-level evidence on Readiness from case studies completed during the Second Performance Review followed by Division of Country Programming colleagues outlining key aspects of the Readiness and Preparatory Support Programme: Revised Strategy 2024 – 2027.

Discussion highlights

• 'For the GCF to be cognizant of the differences [in types of NDAs in different countries] and be able to support NDAs to effectively play a role in mainstreaming climate change in the policy agenda and accessing GCF is crucial.'
