Webinar: What the Country Ownership evaluation found and what comes next

On 22 June 2026, the Independent Evaluation Unit (IEU) hosted a webinar for the Green Climate Fund (GCF) Secretariat on country ownership, bringing together colleagues from the IEU, the Department of Investment Services (DINVS) and the Department of Strategy, Policy and Innovation (DSPI). 

The session explored key insights from the IEU’s evaluation such as who constitutes the “country” in country ownership and whether current arrangements sufficiently ensure country-led engagement.

Participants discussed the evaluation’s findings alongside updates on the Secretariat’s ongoing revision of the country ownership guidelines.
