The Independent Evaluation of the GCF’s Adaptation Portfolio and Approach completed by the Independent Evaluation Unit set out to assess what it takes for the GCF, a young, large and ambitious climate fund, to contribute to adaptation interventions with greater scale, depth and duration in developing countries.

This evaluation was started in January 2020 and was submitted for the GCF's twenty-eighth Board meeting in March 2021.
