FP244 (Malawi): Climate Resilient Health and Well-Being for Rural Communities in southern Malawi (CHWBRC)
Can climate information, prevention, and frontline services help rural households and communities better withstand climate-related health risks?
The impact evaluation examines the overall FP244 project, with particular attention to how climate-informed early warning systems, preventive interventions such as WASH improvements in schools and communities, and efforts to strengthen the climate resilience of health facilities work together at household and community level. The study will assess whether these interventions improve health-related knowledge and health-seeking behaviours, strengthen nutrition and food security, improve awareness and use of early warnings, and build household and community resilience to climate-related shocks. Following baseline data collection in 2026, the impact evaluation will track outcomes over time, with the final impact evaluation report expected in 2028.
