Can tailored support for women farmers help improve both women’s empowerment and agricultural outcomes? 

The impact evaluation examines whether additional support under FP214’s Gender Action Plan helps women farmers participate more fully in training, strengthen their economic roles, and exercise greater agency in households and communities. The study will assess whether this support improves women’s empowerment and whether greater empowerment, in turn, contributes to better project outcomes, including increased adoption of practices and stronger household income. Following baseline data collection in 2026, the impact evaluation will track outcomes over time, with the final impact evaluation report expected in 2028.
