Can better access to finance and insurance help smallholder farmers invest in climate adaptation and build resilience to climate shocks?
The impact evaluation focuses on a selected component of the broader TACATDP programme: the Agriculture Resilience and Adaptation (ARA) loan bundled with crop insurance, designed to ease liquidity and risk constraints for smallholder farmers. The study will assess whether this bundled package helps farmers increase investment in climate-smart agricultural practices, improve productivity and food security, and strengthen resilience to climate shocks. Following baseline data collection in 2025, the impact evaluation will track outcomes over time, with the final impact evaluation report expected in 2028.
