IEU's Yeonji Kim receives commendation for outstanding contribution to society from Korea's Minister of Foreign Affairs
On 19 December 2022, IEU’s Knowledge Management and Uptake Specialist a.i. Yeonji Kim received a Commendation from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Korea for outstanding contribution to society. The Awards ceremony was held at the National Assembly of Korea. For this year’s Awards, the selection committee newly considered the individuals’ and firms’ commitment to ESG principles and programmes. Through the Ministerial Commendation, Yeonji’s work and service in international climate finance and sustainable development as well as her effort to share the knowledge generated on these topics with the public was recognized.
Yeonji says she will continue to do her part in generating and synthesizing knowledge and actively sharing it with the public, for the ultimate goal of supporting low-emissions and climate-resilient development around the world and also in her home country, Republic of Korea.
