Evidence for Climate Action Webinar
Virtual
4 - 7 November 2024
COP29 will take place amid competing priorities, limited resources, and no time to waste. Accelerating climate action requires prioritizing interventions that have proved effective.
The German Institute for Development Evaluation and the Independent Evaluation Group invite you to join Evidence for Climate Action (E4CA), a series of conversations in the lead up to COP29 on the latest evidence on effective climate action.
E4CA will bring together evidence from evaluation functions across multiple development organizations on which climate interventions have made a significant impact, as well as the lessons learned from their implementation and potential for scalability.
On November 6, the IEU will present under the topic How much climate finance is provided, where does it go, and who can access it? This session will explore the volume of climate finance provided, distributional aspects, as well as questions on access to climate finance from a bilateral and multilateral perspective. We will present the latest evaluative findings on developments in terms of the finance volume and thereby contribute to improving reporting transparency.
E4CA will be fully virtual and run from November 4 to 7, 2024, and consist of daily, one-hour sessions from 09:00 ET/15:00 CET to 10:00 ET/16:00 CET.
