The Independent Evaluation Unit (IEU) of the Green Climate Fund (GCF) hosted a Learning Talk on climate information and early warning systems (CIEWS).  

The session brought together a diverse panel of colleagues from the IEU, the GCF Secretariat, and the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) to discuss key findings from the CIEWS evaluation and explore future directions. 

The event featured five panelists. Three delivered presentations, followed by a discussion segment joined by two additional panelists.

The session highlighted key findings from the recent evaluation of GCF’s investments in CIEWS, examined WMO’s role and technical contributions to early warning systems, and reflected on GCF’s strategic priorities to maximize the impact of these investments.
