IEU at the 2026 GCF Global Conference with Indigenous Peoples

The Independent Evaluation Unit (IEU) contributed to the GCF Global Conference with Indigenous Peoples in Incheon, Republic of Korea, participating in Session 1-3: GCF and Indigenous Peoples.
The session brought together GCF staff members and representatives from Indigenous Peoples organizations to present the GCF’s Indigenous Peoples Policy, the work of the Indigenous Peoples Advisory Group, and findings from the independent evaluation of the policy.

This session provided an overview of the GCF, its Indigenous Peoples Policy, and the Indigenous Peoples Advisory Group. It also presented findings from the Independent Evaluation of the GCF’s approach to the Indigenous Peoples Policy, along with the Management Response to the evaluation.

The conference served as a key platform for engaging Indigenous Peoples, National Designated Authorities (NDAs), and Accredited Entities to strengthen multi-stakeholder collaboration and deepen understanding of GCF’s engagement with Indigenous Peoples.
